Study: Marriage is good for men

Associated with a longer life and reduced stress

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) - A study outlining the benefits of marriage for men says it can reduce stress, help you live longer and make you more social.

Those are just a few of the reasons researchers reckon you should rush down the aisle instead of running a mile. Psychologists in Michigan found a stable and surviving marriage is associated with a longer life and reduced stress.

Married men are also less likely to be aggressive or binge drink. It seems it's good for mental health, too. Men with a ring have a reduced risk of depression.
