VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) - HGTV is on the hunt for the best handyman in the country.  The show Canada's Handyman Challenge is holding auditions in Vancouver this weekend.

The network's three contractors, Scott McGillivray, Bryan Baeumler and Mike Holmes, will be judges on the show.

"We're coming to Vancouver because we're looking for talent in Vancouver.  We're looking for people with skills, both guys and girls who know their way around a tool box. Maybe they've done some work in their own home or they do it on the side.  We want to see who's up for the challenge and we want them to come in and audition," says McGillivray.

"There's been shows of this style for a few years but never have we done one on this scale," he adds.

Auditions are taking place at Terminal City Industrial Works at Victoria Drive and Franklin Street.
