Parents of Andrew Koenig make tearful appeal for information on their son

Walter Koenig--Chekhov from Star Trek, makes appeal at VPD headquarters

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) - The famous parents of a former sitcom actor missing in Vancouver are appealing for any information that could help find their son.  Walter and Judith Koenig--the parents of Andrew Koenig--made their appeal today at Vancouver Police headquarters.

Andrew's parents are clearly heartbroken.  Walter--the actor who played Chekhov in the original Star Trek TV series--barely raised his voice above a whisper, and he and his wife were near tears the entire time.  They're pleading with anyone who might have seen Andrew to give police a call.

They also appealed directly to their son, hoping he's still alive, saying that he's loved and that people really miss him.  They want him to contact police or the family directly.  They do admit that they fear the worst for their son, who is suffering from depression.

The parents told media today that they learned that Andrew had stopped taking his anti-depressant medication about a year ago, got rid of many of his possessions in the days before his disappearance, and was last seen by a friend on February 14th.  His last cellphone activity was two days later.
