Warm winter continues through February

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) - One of the big stories of our winter games was the spring-like weather.  News1130 Meteorologist Russ Lacate looks back on a February that for once, we spent wishing for snow!

It was dreadfully wet and warm for the first two weeks of February, the average daily highs above 10 degrees. A tropical jetstream brought all the rain almost everyday. But overall it really dried out from the 17th onward when we began that stretch of eight sunny days out of nine followed finally by some cooler air.  We had four frosty mornings in late February which was still well behind the average of nine frosty days.
