VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) - Making friends with your parka again this morning? We're out on the chilly streets this morning with some disheartening news for everyone who was enjoying our virtual springtime.
Wait a minute.. Weren't we just out on the beaches, in the parks, on the golf courses? There was so much pale skin exposed on the weekend it was blinding.
Terrence is new to Vancouver from India and asks what the heck is up with the West Coast? "Living here is totally different. You don't know what is coming next! Sometimes it's rain, sometimes it's sunny, sometimes it's cold."
Our friend Dawn Chubai is the weathercaster for Citytv's Breakfast Television and says we were sucked in. "El Nino played a bit of a trick on us during the Olympics and we had above average temperatures and not as much precipitation. We're definitely seeing some snow right now. I know we don't like it very much but just last year we saw five centimetres on this very day."
She says it will be wet and colder than usual in the coming week with snow higher up, especially on the North Shore mountains.
Welcome back winter!
