Canucks settle for a point in the desert

14 game road trip ends with shootout loss to Coyotes

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) - The Canucks are heading home after a 4-3 shootout loss to the Phoenix Coyotes. Adrian Aucoin scored the winner in the sixth round of the shootout. Henrik Sedin, Mikael Samuelsson, and Christian Ehrhoff scored in regulation for Vancouver. Henrik also recorded career assist number 414. The Canucks leading scorer is now just one assist shy of tying Trevor Linden at the top of the Canucks all-time assist list.

Vancouver finishes the epic 14 game road trip with a record of 8-5-1. The Canucks now fly home to host Ottawa Saturday night.

Canucks forward Steve Bernier needs surgery to repair a sports hernia. He is expected to miss four weeks.
