Effectiveness of flu vaccine being questioned

May fail to stop the bug

Tamara Slobogean Mar 11, 2010 07:15:34 AM

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) - To get the shot, or not to get the shot?  A new Canadian-made study is adding new fuel to the old debate over the effectiveness of the flu vaccine.

Researchers say the shot may not actually do anything to stop the bug from spreading.  Their findings are based on a study of workers at a nursing home.  It found the innoculations didn't stop residents at the home from getting sick.
