VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) - Canadians are polite, proud and according to a new survey -- loyal to where they shop.  An IBM global survey reveals out of six countries, Canada is ranked number two when it comes to shoppers returning to the same retailer.  Only Americans were more loyal.

There are a number of reasons why Vancouverites go to the same stores over and over again.  Some go for the price point or the quality of goods, however, many people we spoke with say customer service is key for them to return.

The survey also states 48 percent of Canadians like to shop online.  The Internet allows consumers to buy items not found in Canada and it makes shopping easier for those purchasing gifts for loved ones overseas, although, some are still skeptical of using their credit cards online.

Canadians are adopting new technology as well, the survey states 43 per cent of us use texting to make a purchase.
