VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) - The Vancouver Canucks got off to a good start scoring two quick goals on the powerplay, first from Alex Edler and then Ryan Kesler. San Jose made things interesting in the 2nd period when Ryane Clowe scored making it 2-1. Canuck Ryan Johnson scored his first goal in 83 games which proved to be the winner as Vancouver beat the Sharks 3-2.
Next up for the Canucks is a tilt with the Detroit Redwings who are trying to gain some ground and hold 8th spot in the Western Conference playoff race.
