Mounties ready for White Nationalists rally planned for Sunday

Event will go from Coquitlam to Vancouver

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) - New Westminster Police and other Lower Mainland police will be watching the Braid SkyTrain station Sunday morning.  Posts on-line show a white-pride rally is planned there for 11 a.m, so anti-racism groups are planning to be there too.

Sumayya Kassamali with anti-racism group 'No One Is Illegal' admits the confrontation could get heated.  "That's why we're going in groups.  We're advising people not come on their own and they come with friends and try and come and join either our contingent or a number of other organizations that will be there."

Those posts from white supremacists have since been removed.  Kassamali says that doesn't mean the rally won't happen.  Sunday is the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination.  An anti-racism counter-rally is also planned.
