Camping rates going up province-wide

Fees jumping between one and five dollars

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) - A cheap getaway just got a little more expensive.  Camping rates are going up across the province with daily fees will jumping between one and five dollars -- with the most expensive costing $30 a night.

The province says the increases are necessary because of higher costs and a drop in overall government revenues.  Sewage dumping and boat moorage fees are also going up a couple of dollars.  Back country fees will increase to $10 a night at several parks.
