SURREY (NEWS1130) - At Surrey Headquarters, a family choked back tears and thanked police for making an arrest today. The family of Dilbag and Bakhshish Bahd have waited nearly two years for this day to come.

The suspect was arrested for the couple's death in July 2008. Barinder Bahd says it's been a very painful ordeal for the family. "It's a bitter-sweet day for us, the RCMP stuck with this case, but it's a harsh reminder of that night."

Twenty-seven-year-old Ravinder Singh Binning is charged with dangerous driving causing death, dangerous driving causing bodily harm, and failure to remain at the scene of an accident.

Police say he was speeding on 128th Street when his car hit the one the Bahds were riding in near 85th Avenue.
