TORONTO, Ont. - A man from England faces one charge after impersonating as a peace officer near the G20 security fence prior to the summit.
Police allege 29 year old Charlie Veitch was filming near the fence at Front and York streets on Thursday when he was approached by security and asked to show identification.
Veitch said he was not carrying identification because he was working undercover as an officer.
Later on, a warrant was issued for his arrest, and was about to board a plane at Pearson on Tuesday when Peel Police caught him and charged him with impersonating a peace officer.
He is scheduled to appear in court Wednesday afternoon.
