VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) - Much to the delight of an army of Twilight fans, a new edition of the saga has been released in Canadian theatres this week. To celebrate the premiere of "Eclipse", cast members are on a road trip to make star appearances across North America, and Vancouver is on their map.
Vancouver's Tyson Houseman never thought about a career in acting, but after being cast in the Twilight Series as the werewolf Quil, his star has taken off. Twenty-year-old Houseman was at the Scotiabank Theatre on Burrard Friday evening to greet fans and help promote the movie.
Houseman credits an Internet ad for his success. He says he had never even heard of Twilight before auditioning for the role, nor did he ever read any of the books.
"I found an ad on Craigslist that was the open casting call for this. And just thought I'd try it out, went down to give it a shot, and ended up getting the part. For my first audition and for any film at all, I could not have asked for something any greater than this."
