VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) - Fire crews are in the final stages of putting out a stubborn blaze that sparked up just north of Horseshoe Bay this morning.
Donna MacPherson with the Coastal Fire Centre says "It is fairly tough access ground. It is fairly steep and there is a hydro line and houses in the area but there is no threat to them at this time."
Three fire crews from Lions Bay and five from the Lower Mainland were joined by a helicopter to fight the blaze.
They haven't pin pointed a cause but MacPherson thinks it might be from rogue lightning strikes during that heavy rain from a few days ago.
