VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) - Students and parents at three East Vancouver schools are heading back to class one day early to try and save the facilities from being shut down.
A march is set to begin Monday morning at 11 o'clock at the corner of Joyce and Kingsway, not far from Collingwood.
They're trying to save Sir Guy Carleton, Graham Bruce, and Collingwood Neighbourhood schools. The Vancouver School Board has put the three facilities on a preliminary list of schools to be closed by September 2011.
A final decision on which schools will be closed is expected later this year.
