VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) - The iPad is not the only new gadget that could challenge the Kindle.

"Created by book-lovers for book-lovers" is the slogan of the Canadian-made Kobo eReader.

It has a six inch display with an SD card slot, USB port, integrated bluetooth and one Gig of built in memory. One of the best features is the battery. It is supposed to give you up to two weeks of reading on a single charge or 8,000 page turns.

It comes preloaded with 100 books and another there's another two million choose from.  At $150, it is about a hundred bucks cheaper than most of the competition.

You can order the Kobo eReader online through Chapters or in many stores.
