January-April
We had big snowfalls in January, and record breaking snow in December. Gas prices also broke records, rising to $1.52 in July and September, then falling to 75 cents in December. The stock market crashed, and Gregor Robertson replaced Sam Sullivan as Mayor of Vancouver. In sports, Trevor Linden retired, and the B.C. sports community lost a great one with the passing of Bob Ackles.
