SAN REMO, Italy - Oscar Freire Gomez won the Milan-San Remo race on Saturday after a mass sprint to the finish.
The Spaniard crossed the line in six hours 57 minutes 28 seconds ahead of pre-race favourite Tom Boonen of Belgium and Italy's Alessandro Petacchi.
