RED DEER,  AB (NEWS1130) -  BC's Kelly Scott rink lost its opening draw of the day in extra ends to Manitoba's Jennifer Jones, but bounced back to beat the Northwest Territories/Yukon 11-6 in the afternoon draw.

Scott trailed the Kerry Galusha foursome by three before a game-saving three-ender in the fifth end. The Kelowna skip would add another three in the 9th to put the game out of reach. Galusha has had a tough tournament.  The skip of the Yellowknife foursome has missed most of the week with a case of the flu.

With the win, BC improves to 6-3 and a tie for second with Team Canada's Amber Holland. Manitoba is officially in first place with a record of 6-2. Manitoba curls against the Northwest Territories/Yukon in the evening draw while Scott's BC rink has the night off.

One day of round robin play remains to be played in Red Deer this week. The top four rinks will advance to the playoffs.
