The BC Securities Commission says Michael Robert Shantz lied to investors in Germany and Switzerland. Shantz has been ordered to pay back $1.5 million from investors and a $630,000 fine.
Canucks President and GM Mike Gillis has announced that Head Coach Alain Vigneault has signed a two year contract extension. Vigneault was named the 16th coach in Canucks history on June 20, 2006.

Councillor Geoff Meggs says one idea is to combine Expo and Pacific Boulevards and connect them into a ramp that goes up Georgia Street. A report on the viaducts goes before council in July.
