Schneider returns to practice

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – The Canucks still aren’t saying who their starting goaltender will be when they open the playoffs on Wednesday night against the San Jose Sharks.

Cory Schneider returned to practice with his teammates today, and says he’s still ‘day-to-day’ with his undisclosed injury. Schneider was encouraged that he was able to complete a full practice and will need to wait and see how he feels on Wednesday morning before making any decision on whether or not he’ll play in the first game.

Head coach Alain Vigneault isn’t saying much about what his lineup will look like for game one. “I’m not going to get into the specifics of what we’re going to do. There is so little separating the teams. At this time of the year, sharing information about who’s playing with who and what we’re going to do is probably not the right to do.” Vigneault would only say Chris Tanev is considered ‘day-to-day’ as well with his ankle injury and still in a walking boot.

Game one of the series goes Wednesday night at 7:30 p.m.
