The Canucks are feeling low because of Logan

SAN JOSE, CA (NEWS1130) – Logan Couture had two power play goals and two assists, as San Jose took care of Vancouver in Game 3, 5-2. The Sharks lead the series 3-0 and can wrap up the series at home on Tuesday.

Joe Pavelski started the scoring for the home side with goals in the first and second periods.

The Canucks’ Alex Burrows buried the biscuit on a nice feed by Henrik Sedin on a two-on-one with nine minutes remaining in the second period. It was 2-1 Sharks after 40 minutes.

100 seconds into the third period, Couture’s wrist shot fooled Cory Schneider at the end of a power play. Off of the next face off, Patrick Marleau scored nine seconds later to make the score 4-1.

Couture scored again and that was it for Schneider in the Canucks cage, as he was replaced by Roberto Luongo. In his return from injury, number 35 made 23 saves on 28 Sharks shots.

Dan Hamhuis finished off the scoring in the game for Vancouver.

Game 4 is on Tuesday in Northern California.
