Deadly horseback riding accident in Ladner

LADNER (NEWS1130) – A mother has died after a terrible accident involving a horse in Ladner yesterday.
The 43-year-old woman was riding alongside her 18-year-old daughter last night.
Delta Police say the mother’s horse was spooked by a dog and galloped away, throwing the woman off. The daughter’s horse followed the first and threw the daughter off as it attempted to jump a ditch.
The mother died in hospital.
The daughter had some scrapes to her face and bruises to her leg, but is expected to be okay.
