VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – It happens everywhere and most people don’t even know it. Local pot advocates say cannabis oil in e-cigarettes is the future of marijuana use.
There has been a lot of talk as of late about the growing popularity of those e-cigarettes or ‘vapour pens’ as some call them but now more and more people are using them to get high.
“It’s just a matter of putting a little pen to your mouth and having a little inhalation,” says pot activist Dana Larsen. “It’s a very minor minor scent that rapidly dissipates”
He says it makes it harder to pick out the user in a crowd because they are so discreet.
“There’s no real problem using them in a public place. You can use them in a movie theatre or a mall. I’ve used one on an airplane before and it’s never been a problem. Nobody around me knew what I was doing.”
So how does it compare to getting high the traditional way?
“Overall I think it’s more beneficial because you’re inhaling less smoke and less product,” he says “I would say it’s far healthier to use one of these e-pens than it is to smoke a joint.”
He says they’ve really taken off in the last year and some are even able to adjust temperatures.
