Texting while driving rated the most annoying habit by drivers

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – It appears distracted driving is the most frustrating habit witnessed by other drivers.

In Expedia’s 2014 Road Rage report 69 per cent of those asked say people that text behind the wheel are the most aggravating.

Sixty per cent say tailgating is the most annoying habit on the roads, followed by multi-tasking, which 54 per cent of drivers voted for.

Sarah Gavin from Expedia says people that drift over two lanes and drivers that go well under the speed limit round out the top five of annoyances. “That person who sits in that left lane and just goes under the speed limit, you know, just drives people crazy.”

When it comes to flipping the bird, 69 per cent of drivers say they’ve been flashed the finger, while only 17 per cent admit to doing it themselves.

More than half of the people surveyed admit they’ve helped out a motorist in trouble.
