SURREY (NEWS1130) – Mounties in Surrey are taking a different approach to ticketing tonight.
They’ll be rewarding people who help to get their family and friends home safely with $2 coffee cards.
RCMP say they look forward to being able to reward those who are doing the right thing in choosing not to drink and drive.
This is in addition to regular Counterattack road checks, nabbing those who do drink and then choose to get behind the wheel.
With tomorrow being New Year’s Eve, you’re being reminded to arrange your plans ahead of time. Get a designated driver, call a taxi, or take transit.
