Your Vote 2015: Federal election voting guide

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – Voting day in the 2015 federal election is October 19th, when polls are open for 12 hours.

If you are already registered to vote, your voter information card (sent by mail) tells you when and where to vote. If you have not received it, you should check to ensure you are registered. Be sure to bring approved ID to the polls.

Elections Canada has set up an Online Voter Registration Service. There, you can check if you’re registered to vote.

Not yet registered to vote?

The deadline to register in advance has passed.

However, you can register at election day pollsClick here for a list of ID options.

Advance voting days

Polls were open for advance voting on October 9-12th.

Vote at an Elections Canada office

Voting at Elections Canada office ended Tuesday October 13th at 6 p.m.

Vote by mail

The deadline to apply to vote by mail passed Tuesday, October 13th at 3 p.m. (Pacific).
