VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – The Vancouver Giants have their fired head coach.
NEWS 1130 Sports was the first to report the WHL team has parted ways with Lorne Molleken.
In a brief online statement, Giants majority owner Ron Toigo said, “We would like to thank Lorne for his time with our club.”
“We wish him all the best in the future,” he added.
Molleken took over behind the bench for the G-Men at the start of the 2015/16 season. Under his watch, Vancouver went 23-38-5-4. Assistant Coach Tyler Kuntz has been named the club’s Interim Head Coach.
The Giants are now looking for their fifth coach in three years.
