Hours of recordings to be presented at entrapment trial of Nuttall, Korody

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – Four hours of intercepted recordings are expected to be presented by the Crown this week in BC Supreme Court in Vancouver, as the entrapment trial of a Metro Vancouver couple winds to a close.

Crown counsel Sharon Steel says the video recordings were not seen by the jury during the criminal trial of John Nuttall and Amanda Korody — who were convicted last year of planting what they believed were deadly bombs at the legislature in 2013.

The decision of that trial is on hold while the entrapment case decides if the Nuttall and Korody were manipulated by police into carrying out the Canada Day plot.

This round of proceedings is expected to take several days and then court will adjourn until closing statements, which are slated to take place later this year.
