Trump names two top advisers, provides more details on Mexican wall

WASHINGTON D.C. (NEWS 1130) – We’re getting more details about what Donald Trump‘s presidency will look like.

In his first TV interview, with ABC’s 60 Minutes, the US president-elect gave us a look at his plan for a wall and mass deportations.

The president-elect is also revealing who his top two advisors will be.

Trump has named Reince Priebus, head of the Republican National Committee, as chief of staff, and Steve Bannon, the former head of right-wing news outlet Breitbart News, as chief strategist.

The Anti-Defamation League is claiming Bannon has links to white supremacists, but Priebus refutes suggestions his colleague is an extremist.

“I find him not to be the way that he’s being accused,” says Priebus of Bannon. “I find him to be the opposite and I think people need to give people time and give people an opportunity and not make judgments. Don’t judge people on what other people say.”

Trump also sharing more details about his plan to deport up to three million illegal immigrants.

“What we are going to do is get the people that are criminal and have criminal records,” Trump tells ABC. “Gang members, drug dealers. A lot of these people, probably two million, it could even be three million. We are getting them out of our country, or we’re going to incarcerate.”

As for his wall on the Mexican border, he says he’s willing for parts of it to be fenced if that’s more practical.

Here’s another interesting tidbit: according to the Telegraph newspaper, Trump wants to spend a significant amount of time living in Trump Tower in New York, something which could prove to be a security challenge.
