More snow expected for Lower Mainland

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – A messy mix of winter weather is on its way to the Lower Mainland once again, and Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley.

Meteorologist Jonathon Bau says expects a few centimetres of snow to fall tonight, followed by rain mixed with more snow late tomorrow.

“The further east you go into the Fraser Valley the more likely you’ll see snowfall accumulation. At this time, we’re looking at two to four centimetres for Sunday during the day,” says Bau.

Five to 10 centimetres of snow could fall over the Valley tomorrow night.

Freezing rain is also a possibility.
