Canucks sign Boeser to three year entry-level deal

MINNESOTA (NEWS 1130) – The wait itself didn’t take long, but in an exciting turn of events for the Vancouver Canucks and their fans, the team announced prior to the game in Minnesota against the Wild (11am, SNET) that it has signed 2015 first round pick Brock Boeser to a three year entry level contract.

Boeser’s University of North Dakota Fighting Hawks were eliminated Friday from the NCAA Tournament, which sped up the process for the Canucks to bring the prized prospect into the fold. He’ll wear #6 on Saturday in Minnesota.

Boeser served as an assistant captain in North Dakota this season where he put up 16 goals and 34 points in 32 games this season.
He also played a key part in last year’s National Championship victory with current Canuck blueliner Troy Stecher.
