Sister of wrongly fired health researcher features in BC NDP ad

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – The sister of a health researcher who killed himself after falsely being accused of being a criminal, is featured in a new BC NDP election ad suggesting Liberal Leader Christy Clark failed her family.

Linda Kayfish, who lives in Armstrong, says promises to find out why her brother Roderick MacIsaac was fired from the Ministry of Health were never kept.

“Instead of just paying lip service, she needs to be accountable,” Kayfish says in the ad. “Premier Clark she did not get to the bottom of this and she made a promise that she would.

“They sent me a cheque for $450-something in change. No letter, just a cheque.”

Roderick MacIsaac took his own life in 2012. A month before his death he was cleared of any wrong-doing, but he was never notified.
