Neighbours nervous as forensic investigators return to Marpole murder scene

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – Neighbours living in the Marpole neighbourhood in Vancouver say they’re worried as forensic investigators return to the scene of a double homicide that happened earlier this week.

They’re in and around the home at Hudson and 64th Avenue where the bodies of a married couple were found on Wednesday afternoon. The victims have been identified as Dianna Mah-Jones, 65, and Richard Jones, 68.

Neighbours say they’re concerned, and one woman who’s lived in the area for 50 years says nothing like this has every happened before.

No one has been arrested and police are pleading with the public to be vigilant, because they don’t know if the killings were random or targeted.

Vancouver Police says the motive is unknown and they’re looking into the fact the basement suite was once used as a short-term rental.
