By

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – Don’t forget your rain boots and umbrella –Environment Canada has issued a rainfall advisory for the South Coast.

Depending on your location, forecasters say 50 to 70 millimetres of rain is expected in parts of the region.

The areas that will likely be hit the hardest will be the North Shore, including West Vancouver. People around Coquitlam, Maple Ridge, Surrey and Langley can also expect a downpour, and the same goes for those in the Fraser Valley.

Rain may bring localized flooding to low-lying areas, and you are being reminded and encouraged to clear catch basins.

As a third system moved into the region early this morning. Conditions are expected to ease up later tonight, and meteorologists say you can even expect some sun in the long-term forecast. The region was hard-hit by another storm just days ago, which brought flooding to various areas within Metro Vancouver.
