LOWER MAINLAND (NEWS 1130) – Condo owners in the Lower Mainland may be in for another surprise when it comes to their annual property assessments. An early look indicates values are going up in most areas — by as much as 30 per cent in some parts.

This comes after a signficiant increase in value assessments last January.

There’s some good news for those who own a detached single family home: BC Assessment suggests there will be little change around Metro Vancouver.

Assessments are often used by municipalities to help determine property taxes.

You can now see property assessments as of July 1, 2017 online at bcassessment.ca. Highlights of assessment changes in local communities will be made available on Tuesday.
