Special weather statement for South Coast

LOWER MAINLAND (NEWS 1130) – We may soon see snow in the Lower Mainland.

Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement, which covers Metro Vancouver, the Fraser Valley, and the Sea to Sky region between West Vancouver and Squamish.

“Arctic air has been in place over the South Coast for several days. A potent storm system over the Alaskan Panhandle will advance southwards on Tuesday, bringing Pacific moisture into the mix,” reads the statement.

Between five and 15 centimetres of snow are possible over high terrain, between Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday morning.
