Double podium finish for Canada in women’s ski cross

PYEONGCHANG, KOREA (NEWS 1130) – An incredible finish in women’s ski cross on Day 14 of the Winter Olympics.
Canadians Kelsey Serwa, of Kelowna, and Brittany Phelan won the gold and silver medal, respectively, in women’s ski cross.

The win gives Team Canada its second straight double podium in the event at the Games.

The medals keeping the country’s streak alive as Ashleigh McIvor won gold in the event’s debut in Vancouver back in 2010, following by Marielle Thompson and Serwa finishing 1-2 at Sochi four years later in 2014.

Two days ago Brady Leman became Canada’s first Olympic medallist in men’s ski cross when he won the gold medal at Phoenix Snow Park.

These two medals bring Canada’s total so far the Games to 26, which ties our record haul from the 2010 Games.
