Snowboarder’s body recovered on Mount Baker

BELLINGHAM, Washington (NEWS 1130) – Rescuers have recovered the body of a snowboarder, missing on Mount Baker since January.

In a Facebook post, the Bellingham Mountain Rescue Council says it’s honoured to have brought closure for friends and family members.

An autopsy is planned for tomorrow to confirm the identity and fill-in details on what may have happened.

At the end of January, a 24-year-old man from Bellingham became separated from fellow snowboarders prompting a search by more than two dozen people.
