One person stabbed at Surrey hotel

SURREY (NEWS 1130) – One person has been seriously hurt after being stabbed inside a Surrey hotel.

Sgt. Chad Greig says Mounties received reports someone had been stabbed around 5:30 a.m.

“The Surrey RCMP attended to the Sheraton Hotel located in the 15200 block of 104 Avenue,” he tells NEWS 1130.

The victim has been taking to hospital, again with serious injuries.

“The hotel has been secured while the investigation continues,” Greig adds.

Investigators are not releasing many details, including the victim’s age, gender, or whether they are known to police.

Mounties say the stabbing is believed to be an isolated incident, and say there is no risk to the public.

Officers are now looking for a suspect who is described as a dark skinned man with a shaved head.
