New Westminster police search for missing man

NEW WESTMINSTER (NEWS 1130) – Police need your help finding a missing 61-year-old man.

According to the New Wesminster Police Department, Douglas Thornburn was last seen on Jul. 25 around 5:30 p.m. near his home in the area of Jardine Street and S Dyke Road.

He was reported missing by his fiancé, who along with other loved ones, just want to make sure he is doing alright.

Thornburn isn’t believed to be a risk to himself.

“We are asking the public to help us locate Mr. Thornburn to ensure his safety,” stated Sergeant Jeff Scott. “Investigators are actively looking for him and are seeking public’s assistance in locating him.”

He’s described as 5’10” tall with short, grey and brown hair. You’re asked to call police at 604.525.5411 if you have any information.
