New site tracks trends on Facebook

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – Trending lists give insight into what people are talking about online. More than just Justin Bieber is being discussed on Facebook.
It’s easy to see what people are talking about on Twitter, as the trending topics appear on its website. Well, for Facebook there is now ItsTrending.
The site shows popular shared items on the social network, using Facebook plugins to produce lists of everything from videos to news. And there’s quite a range of shared links – from the video of the drunk guy who can’t seem to get on his sandal, to Sushi Cat – a game where I can tell you from personal experience, will waste half of your day or more.
But it isn’t all fun and games, stories of Bret Michael’s brain hemorrhage and a Taiwanese earthquake are also trending.
So far, News1130’s page is not trending – but if you become a fan, maybe we will?
