Mom launches site to review Metro Vancouver daycares, schools

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – A review of Metro Vancouver daycares, elementary and preschools will be taking place this fall. News1130 spoke with a woman who’s launching a new website to do just that.
She says there’s not enough information online that would help parents make the right decision as to where to send their kids. So, Karen Young Chester is introducing theshortylist.ca this fall.
A new site with reviews and personal stories aimed at parents with children under five.
The mother of two says the site is just another tool in the research process. “I feel like ultimately you’re going to have to go to a daycare or school yourself in person to see what it’s like. I think it’s very valuable to hear information from other parents.”
She says there are similar sites started by parents for parents in the U.S. and U.K.
