Canada beats Argentina at Pan Am Games qualification tourney

PUERTO RICO (NEWS 1130) – Surrey’s Adam Loewen belted a two-run homer in the bottom of the seventh inning to give Canada a 13-2 mercy rule win over Argentina at the Pan Am Games qualification tournament.

Loewen finished 3-5 with three runs scored and five RBI’s.  The top eight teams move on to the Pan Am Games and Canada’s currently tied for second with Venezuela at 2-1.

The top six also qualify for the 2011 I.B.A.F. World Cup that runs through October 10th.
