The Giants strike goal(s) in the Yukon

WHITEHORSE, YT  (NEWS1130) – A pair of goals by Brendan Gallagher pushed the Vancouver Giants past Kamloops 3-2. It was the first WHL game to be played in Whitehorse, Yukon as part of Hockey Day in Canada.

Gallagher scored the game winner with just 2:45 left in the third period. He leads the Giants with thirty-eight goals. Andrej Stastny added a goal and an assist for Vancouver. He now has seven goals and fifteen points in just sixteen games with Vancouver.

The G-Men are still on top of the BC Division in the WHL.

Don Cherry was part of the pre-game festivities as he made a grand entrance at Takhini Arena. Cherry fist bumped players from both teams on his way to centre ice.
