TFC has the inside track on winning Voyageurs Cup

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – Maicon Santos scored in the 73rd minute to give Toronto FC a 1-1 draw with Whitecaps FC in leg one of the Voyageurs Cup. Eric Hassli scored Vancouver’s lone goal, nine minutes earlier.
The team with the most away goals is the first tie-breaker, if the two game, total-goal series is tied.
The winner of the Canadian title, will either meet Walter Ferreti or Real Esteli from Nicaragua in the CONCACAF Champions League preliminary round. The second leg of Nutrilite Canadian Championship final will be played next Wednesday in Toronto.
