ARMSTRONG (NEWS1130) – An autopsy will be held today in Kamloops as homicide investigators search for any clues that could lead them to the killer of a teen from Armstrong.
Relatives say 18-year-old Taylor Van Diest died of head injuries, but Mounties aren’t confirming that. Van Diest was attacked as she walked along railway tracks on Halloween night; it’s a popular short-cut for people who live there.
Police can’t say if Van Diest was stalked beforehand, nor if the attack was random or targeted. Still, they urge people in Armstrong to travel in groups and tell someone where they are going.
