VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – Raccoons look cute and cuddly… until they bite. That’s exactly what happened last night to a woman walking her dogs on West Hastings in Vancouver.
The raccoon apparently spooked the dogs, and the woman tried to get in the middle to prevent a fight. That’s when the raccoon went after her, and chomped on her wrist and leg.
She’s been sent to hospital for a tetanus shot.
Police have turned the case over to Animal Control because, after all, they aren’t interested in arresting the raccoon on assault charges.
