SURREY (NEWS1130) – Mounties are looking for suspects after a man and woman were shot at a home in Surrey this morning.
It happened on 132nd Street near Highway 10.
“At approximately 3:40 this morning, we received a report of gunshots… we attended there and found that in fact someone had fired several shots into a residence at that location,” says Staff Sergeant Blair McColl.
A neighbour tells News1130 one of the victims was taken out of the home on a stretcher.
“Two people were taken to hospital by ambulance and treated… injuries are not believed to be life-threatening at all,” he tells us.
“We have no leads at this point as to a suspect. Our Serious Crimes section is still investigating and following up any leads that may result in a suspect,” adds McColl.
132nd Street between Highway 10 and 60th Avenue was closed for hours this morning.

How are some of these comments being posted? Please get your ignorant head out of your behind for 2 seconds and STOP calling then Sikhs. Call them East Indian if you want(which you’re only assuming, because of course Caucasians are little angels all the time). But gangsters are NOT Sikh. That’s like calling every white person out there a Christian.
And a TON of these shootings involve white people as do most crimes so please keep the racist comments to yourself.

First of all a) if you were blind sided and shot and never saw the shooter then well how ‘Why Help?’ puts it if the cops asked if you saw the shooter and you were to say no you should not get help! That is very stupid minded to say. B) If one person was not involved in any way and gets shot, they should get shot and most defiantly not be getting harassment by people on the internet. If you do not know facts then do not comment. If it was your sister or mother or even your own daughter you would want there to be help, are like other countries were we are to fend for ourselves and not show any kind minded thoughts in anyway? What have you people come to? Purely disgusted I am of you people!
I find it very interesting that no names or descriptions are given, Yet… Its automatically assumed that Indo-Canadians are involved.
I didn’t know caucasians, asians and persians weren’t involved in gang activity. Must be all those indo-canadians in Red Scorpions and Hells Angels that are behind all this.
When the police arrive at the scene and see two people bleeding to death, the first questions need to be (a) who shot you (b) will you cooperate with the police. If either of the questions are responded to by ‘No’, then the police and paramedics need to turn around and walk away. Let the poor injured so called ‘victims’ find their own way to the hospital. We should not be providing help of any kind, if these people aren’t willing to help police and get these dirt bags off the streets. While, 40% of the problem are gumen, 60% of the problem are the so called victims that will not help. It is time that we stop wasting out time with these people and let them fend for them selves. If you want help from medical professionals and police, then you better be ready to help in the investigation. People that have nothing to hide, assist, people that have things to hide, keep quiet.
Excellent idea. Couldn’t agree more with you. If only our politicians had any backbones, we could actually get good ideas like this put to use. I would vote for it in a second.
There is technology that can detect and pinpoint gunshots and it has been shown to work in preventing guns from being used where this technology exists.

While not as overly racist, I do agree with this sentiment as a Surrey resident.
The problem a lot of the time is the young male demographic from the Sikh parts.
Not all, but an amount that cannot be overlooked any longer.
Having them threaten you in your own city? That time is up..
Not saying this shooting is race related, any race can pull the trigger.
But from my experience, they are the ones to jump to violence over nothing..
“Overly racist” certainly has the tone. If this is a problem with a certain racial demographic. The community needs to look inwards for home grown/community based solutions. My own observations is that 1st gen immigrant parents worked really hard to provide a better life for their kids and in turn these spoiled brats want to become hot shots and join these gangs perhaps wanting to belong and/or do things to become “somebody macho”. This is a decease that is spreading.
These kind of problems are not only related to a particular race. Any race may have problem. Making comments on a particular race or community is another state of mind of us. We have examples from the past, where parents are well educated, settled and not poor. But the problem is not limited here, may be the state of mind of these so called gangsters. Strict actions , laws, punishments must be there . More than this what I feel , more police pressure should be on the these people, like we see in Abbotsford.
